Hanoi - On 27 March 2008, the first Saigon Gold Exchange in Hanoi at 48 Phung Hung Street, District Hoan Kiem, Hanoi by ACB (Tel: 84.04 9380342 – Fax: 84.04 9380343).
The inauguration of the Saigon Gold Exchange in Hanoi aims at expanding geographically the operation of the Saigon Gold Exchange which was firstly launched in Vietnam by ACB in May 2007.
The Saigon Gold Exchange originally consisted of 10 members: ACB, Eximbank, HDBank, SCB, Viet A Bank, Tan Van Hung Limited Company, Tuan Tai Manufacturing-Trading and Service Company, Saigon Jewelry Company, Lac Hong Informatics-Investment-Service Joint-Stock Company, Kim Ngoc Phu Limited Company. With the new Branch in Hanoi, the group has expanded membership to other 6 companies in Hanoi including:
Jewelry Trading Company - Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development
- SJC Hanoi Joint-Stock Company
- Kim Linh Limited Company
- Quoc Trinh Limited Company
- Phu Quy Gold Investment Joint-Stock Company
- Hanh Thuan Limited Company
Non-member investors can indirectly trade on the Gold Exchange through its members both in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi City.
ACB was the first member to launch "ACB Gold trading" to serve its own individual investors nationwide.
The geographical expansion and membership growth will enhance the liquidity as well as efficiency of the Saigon Gold Exchange and strengthen the connection between the two largest gold markets in Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
